TIPS Hardened Security

Elastix 2.5, offers third party a security addons. Are any of these options valuable from cost/benefit standpoint? And could they be used on Elastix 4.0, assuming Elastix 4.0 could be made operational? Any comments on this or other hardening fixes (in general) would be appreciated.

Incredible PBX for Elastix includes a preconfigured (hardened) IPtables firewall using a WhiteList. I'd stay away from the Elastix IPtables setup unless you really understand IPtables. Newer Elastix version will be great once you can receive incoming calls.
