FOOD FOR THOUGHT Google Voice: The Old Way

Yep. Been tinkering with Incredible PBX 12 with Asterisk 12 and FreePBX on a Cloud-At-Cost server over the past few days. For this purpose I typically use a Motif GV trunk. Went through exactly the drill you describe with a mostly dormant GV account from a while back. Fired the PBX up, nothing worked as expected, went to check gmail for that particular account, acknowledged that, yes, it was me coming from that particular IP address, accepted all the wrist-slapping about lower security and checked the box to implement it. Trunk works fine after doing all of that.

Did GV break? I get "status: disconnected" lowered security settings and everything. Worked fine last night.

Still working for me. Interestingly, also working on a 2nd account without setting the 'lower security' settings, but on that app I have two factor enabled and had to use an application password instead.

Every device that I use GV upon (Obi 100; several PIAF installations) are humming along swimmingly as of this writing. Just got off an IB call to my primary GV DID, and upon reading your post I checked my Motif GV applications. No problems whatsoever OB or IB.

If it's not logging in successfully, you can check the logs, I would bet that you triggered a security flag on Google's side - have you tried the account unlock (unlock captcha?) and reviewing your security page for any login attempts you need to mark as legitimate?

I put up a backup image on my Pi and it works again. Something must've gotten screwed up.. but it works just fine now.
