Google introduces Project Fi wireless service (using Hangouts) via copy from dsl reports
These are some of the takeaways I found perusing Google's Project Fi:
$20/month for unlimited talk and text.
$10/GB of data (prorated). Pricing same in US and 120+ countries.
International termination calling rates are same as Google Voice/Hangouts rates. International origination (i.e. travelling overseas) is 20/cents/minute from 120+ countries.
»fi.google.com to request an invite
Runs on fastest LTE network available between Sprint, T-Mobile and partner WiFi networks with seamless transitioning of existing calls between networks and WiFi.
Will only work with the Nexus 6 on its initial roll-out
Integrated with Hangouts. Can send and receive calls and texts from any device using Android, iOS, Windows or Mac. (Uses Hangouts widget in Gmail.)
Supports SMS, MMS, shortcodes, group texting and visual voicemail.
24/7 phone support.
