Working on enhancing the existing status display. Now will include Private LAN/WiFi IP addresses as well as Public IP address and Phone Number (saved in /etc/pbx/.phone). Other additions are self-explanatory. Those without fax will now see a bottom row of DN entries in RED.

Any other suggestions?

PLEASE rename it. You'll have trouble on any systemd based distro - Ubuntu was just the first one.

Short term solution is to rename /usr/local/sbin/status to anything you prefer. As I noted in another post, we were using status long before systemd, and it's going to require plumbing changes in close to a dozen platforms to resolve this. So... it probably won't be soon.

With full respect to the ipbx project's use of the "status" command predating systemd, and the great amount of valiant work sunk into ipbx/pbxinaflash projects, I vote for handing this type of issue (name collision with the "status" command which comes with the new version of the operating system) as follows:
1) upload all historical versions and 12 platforms of the code, to github, so that it's a million times easier to hack on, and
2) global search and replace the invocations of the "status" command to "ipbx_status" or "pbx_status" .
Problem solved!
Bonus: many contributors will probably contribute bug fixes and performance enhancements moving forward.
