My pbx is running on digital ocean exposed to the internet.

From my understanding of the protocols, sip registration with extension passwords are sent in plaintext.

What do I need to do to encrypt passwords sent between the client and the server? I am not trying to encrypt voice data at this time. Only authentication passwords so mobile clients do not leak connection information over public hotspots.

I am not sure exactly what this is called in asterisk and I couldn't get the forum search to let me search for TLS or SSL because they are too short.
