Greetings,

Could each of you viewing this post add any provider that has not already been listed in an earlier part of this thread.

I'd like to build a list of VOIP provider names and RTP information like this (here's the first two):

Anveo Direct - NP-RTP
Anveo Retail - P-RTP
Vitelity - P-RTP

How can you tell if your RTP connection is through a proxy? Asking is one way, you already know is another or you can check the IP addresses in the CLI. If you lookup the RTP IP address it should point to the actual carrier (like Verizon for example).

So, to be clear: If the RTP is on the same host as the SIP communications then it is being proxied (by the SIP server). If different, then not proxied.

There is a third situation that may be worth documenting--the likes of CallCentric where the host to which you register and send calls is different than the SIP+RTP host that sends calls to you.

For the purposes of this list I only care if the RTP packets are flowing directly to the carrier vs. the VOIP provider

Anveo - NP-RTP

Correction is needed. Anveo retail does proxy RTP while Anveo DIRECT does not.
