direct voicemail xfer problems

I am having issues with a new install.
PIAF 1.7.5.5
Asterisk 1.6.2.18
Freepbx 2.8.1.4
Aastra 57i phones
All SIP

I can transfer direct to voicemail on some extensions but not on others. When the call is transfered (xfer button *XXX) the caller hears "I am sorry, that is not a valid extension..."

Using fop2 to transfer direct to voicemail works. Transfering to the extension works.

Any ideas?

Okay... a little further testing shows that direct to voicemail transfers to 10X extension work but to 11X fail.

I don't know where to look next though.

In FreePBX, go to Setup -> Feature Code -> Core and check to see if you have User Logon / User Logoff enabled.

If User Logon (*11) is enabled, the system is processing that feature code and not your direct-to-voicemail request.

Disable it if you're not using it. Otherwise, you may need to reconsider your extension numbers.
