Do the 10 employees each need their own direct dial number or will they be reached through the main number?

If you only need your main number and no direct dials, you only need one DID.

Agreed. The appeal of DIDForSale DIDs is that you can have 20 simultaneous calls going on using the same incoming DID at no additional cost. Most providers give you 2 channels at most without substantial additional fees.

Then you should just need to get one DID from DIDForSale (your main number) and use any PAYG provider for your termination. Most (but not all) PAYG providers allow you to set your CID, so you would just set your outbound CID to the DID you get from DIDForSale. That way, all calls made from anyone in the office will go out with your DIDForSale DID, irrespective of the actual provider you use for termination.

Okay I signed up for FlowRoute. My PIAF shows that I have 1 trunk registered. I can make unlimited simultaneous calls from that 1 trunk?

I have Grandstream phones:

GPX2000
GPX2010
GPX2020

Now I can use the same username and password on all accounts?

You guys have been a great help. Thanks for everything.

Yes, all of the phones can use one trunk. You don't have to set the Maximum Channels in the trunk, but I would suggest it. I would set it based on your bandwidth of your connection and what codec you are using. While technically, there is no limit, your internet connection can only handle so many calls. So set it a little higher than what you expect to need, but less than what would flood your connection and degrade call quality.

I don't know about the VoicePulse module. Somebody else will have to chime in on that one.

jribbing13 - you should only need to enter your FlowRoute username/password once (in the Peers settings of your FlowRoute trunk). Each of your phones will connect to your PiaF server and get routed out one of your outbound routes based on the number dialed and your dialplan.

Awesome.

I think I got it figured out!!!

FlowRoute for outbound - In which I just set up and paid the $35.00.

I am porting my number to DID4Sale and getting the 20 incoming calls...

Now for the next post. A good Outlook and Goldmine integration tool...

The most obvious use for a DID with 20 channels would be to serve as a conference bridge. Hard to beat $9 a month for a 20-seat conference bridge. We may just set one up for PBX in a Flash users to compare notes.

That was exactly what I was thinking about doing. It makes for a really inexpensive conference bridge.

Does anyone know how reputable that they are though?

$9 + $5 setup fee = $14 = pretty good gamble for a month

$9 + $1 redundant server fee + $5 setup fee = really good gamble

If you set yourself up an account (no charge), you can log in and then click on Testing Center and actually grab one of their DIDs for 24 hours to test call quality. Takes about one minute to set everything up.

Okay I set up FlowRoute using the Tribox instruction and I get an error stating:
"all circuits are busy"
It can't be that hard?

That looks good. I would add a disallow=all before the allow=ulaw&g729.

Are you sending full 11 digit numbers? A 1 is required with all numbers.

Okay I added that. Should I have anything in the dial prefix? Right now it is empty.
