I am trying to use accounting/pin codes to track outbound calls. PIAF asks for the password followed by the # key as expected, once entered the call is completed.

However, to dial we use soft phones and copy and paste the 10 digit number. I would like to add the appropriate 5 digit pin number to our copy and paste procedure. Is there a way to make this work?

Thanks,

Tom

If your softphone allows for a pause character, you could have the 10 digits, then a pause or two, then the extra digits. Depends entirely on the softphone though.

rossive,

Thanks. I'm using Zoiper, and to the best of my knowledge and research it does not accept a pause character. I've tried several without success.

Just spoke with Zoiper and they said that a pause character would be determined by the server side. What I am trying to accomplish is the ability to dial a string sent via softphone that will include the route + phone number + pin.

Example: 161055512128888 where 1 is the outbound route, 6105551212 is the phone number, and 8888 is the passcode.

Ok,

Zoiper is a no go. However, X-lite has pause capability. On X-lite you can dial the route + phone number + passcode. Use "P" to pause for 1 second and use ";" to end the string.

Example: 16105551212P8888#;

Where 1 is the route, 6105551212 is the phone number, P is the 1 second pause, and 8888# is the pin and ";" completes the string. Works.

Thanks Ross!
