TIPS Aastra 57i Application not found error

A phone has just come up with this error when restarting:

APPLICATION NOT FOUND
To restore, go to
recovery web page

Recovery web page at
192.168.0.142

Going to that address gives me an

AASTRA IP PHONE RECOVERY

page asking for a filename, etc.

It sounds like the firmware has been corrupted.

There is an existing 57i.st file in the sftp directory.

Is it that file that is corrupted?

I used the recovery page and download the 57i.st file.

After a while the page sent a 'connection has been reset' message but the phone restarted normally.

So you were right - it did recover.
