Incidentally this also fixed the non working FOP2 panel on this new machine as it too relies on connectivity to MySQL.

Will an update-source resolve the issue?

I can report that an "update-source" with the menu select (I selected the 2 depricated MYSQL modules and the 1 "extended" module)
Fixed the issue...

app_mysql.so
cdr_mysql.so
res_config_mysql.so

Other than that I went with the defaults / recommended configurations...

I wouldn't recommend *YOU* do this... Only just that it worked for me...

Reviving a thread from the dead. I turned up a new install last week on a C@C instance and had no CDR. Applied the solution quoted and CDR's are present. Thanks gaijin!!
