This just came across my desk ... a USB-A to Micro-B cable with an inline switch. Designed for the Raspberry Pi and other devices that are charged or powered by a Micro-B USB connection. Particularly handy for the Rasp-Pi.

You could try

amportal stop
shutdown -h now

Un-Plug the power or use the mains socket switch if fitted - its quite easy to do; the downside is that the Pi also goes down then the phone extensions wont work.
