SOLVED AMAZON EC2 PBX IN A FLASH, NEED TO SET THE TIME/DATE??

I have a backup PIAF GREEN server running on an amazon EC2 server and it appears to use UTC clock, when i log into root and type date. I am in Phoenix so would like the appropriate timezone to show up on voicemails and vm to email messages. Any ideas how to do that, I could not get the date changed on my EC2 server, but may have been typing the wrong command to do that. Any help would be appreciated.

I forgot, this also effects my Time Conditions being way off.

for reference, running the command: 'timezone-setup' logged in as root is all it took. also a reboot after.
