TIPS Phonebook to phone

Hi,

i have maybe a stupid question.
But how do i add the asterisk phonebook to my phone.
Is this possible by xml or something?

I use the Grandstream GXP2160 phone.

So I am googling around because I am curious about this too. I never tried it. In http://www.grandstream.com/products...ts/gxp2130_2140_2160_administration_guide.pdf you will notice that your xml guess looks correct. There is a group phonebook area that you might be interested in. You might want to have a look at http://www.y-m-e.net/2011/03/xml-phonebook-from-freepbx-for-grandstream-gxp-2020-phones/ to see if it helps you get started. Maybe someone else knows a better way to do it. Good luck! Let us know how it turns out and what you have success with.

my grandstream supported also LDAP, is there an easy way to config my pbx to use LDAP?
