So I finally ordered a Sangoma B600DE so I can drop the OBIs (I think one might be a little flaky anyway) and connect everything properly (I'll be dumping the last 2 analog handsets at the same time), thought I MIGHT hook one of the OBIs up to the fax..I haven't decided yet.

So how much pain am I in for in setting this up?
Is it pretty much plug and play with PIAF or will there be a bunch of console work I'll need to do as well?

:)

Thanks all!

Thanks!
From the Changelog:

* Mon Jan 7 2014 <removed person> - 7.0.9
==================================================================

- Support for Dahdi 2.8
- Support for Centos 6.5
- Support for kernels up to 3.12
- Fixes A116 clocking for dahdi when link is down
- Updates to A116 for possible NMI interrupt erros on some motherboards.

So it looks like I SHOULD be all good with following the instructions in the other thread.
I'm running PIAF Green - Centos 6.4, DAHDI Source 2.7.0.1

Sangoma also has excellent tech support, but not 24 hours (I complained to them - I am a dealer - they said they were working on fixing it) and not immediate, so there's options if you run into trouble. I have always found their installs pretty straightforward except when I was using brand new kernels with slightly older drivers - sometimes they won't compile. I think you'll be fine on 7.0.9.

Ok Thanks.
Hopefully I'll be doing all this tomorrow night (i.e. once I can safely take down the server for a bit to back it up and add the card in and then move stuff around).

it's painless... at least it was for me...
Sangoma's site had instructions... and you do NOT want to use the built-in DAHDI config module...

it's all command-line-fu... if I recall

I tried initially with the freepbx dahdi...and it was about a year ago...and it failed.. went to sangoma's site followed their instructions and it worked seemlessly. FWIW...

I'll try with the config module (which just updated...) and see what happens...if that doesn't work I'll hit up their site.

Ok, so I did the install and it appears to have configured pretty much everything for me.
Dahdi Config shows the 4 FXO and 1 FXS port under Analog Hardware.
I went into DAHDI Channel DIDs and created Channel 1 and Channel 2 for my POTS and Ooma lines.
I went into trunks and created 2 new Trunks for POTS and Ooma with the DAHDI Trunks settings set to Analog Channel 1/Analog Channel 2 with 1 maximum channel.
I changed my prefix dial for POTS to go through the POTS trunk.
When I tried to make a call to force out that trunk I get:

[2014-02-05 01:02:36] WARNING[23529][C-00000004] app_dial.c: Unable to create channel of type 'DAHDI' (cause 17 - User busy)

So I have the line unplugged for right now, in the morning (or so) I'll unplug the Obi and test incoming and outgoing through the card to make sure it's working properly both ways before I remove the POTS Obi and it's configuration. Then I just repeat for the Ooma Obi to move it to the card. Last I'll configure the FXS port for the analog phone I have connected to it and I should be all good to go.

Ok. It's all good.
POTS line goes into a splitter. One side goes to Line 1 of the old Panasonic DECT phone for testing/emergency use (i.e. PBX dies or something) and the other side goes to Sangoma FXO Channel 1.
Ooma goes to Sangoma FXO Channel 2.
FXS port goes to Line 2 of the old Panasonic DECT phone and I created and tested an extension for it.

FYI the setup for the latest driver (7.0.9) was very easy to follow.
