Wifi settings appear to be here:
/dev/shm/tmp/wpa_supplicant.conf

you'll have to dig for the rest.

REFURB Nortel 1535 at CodeMicro

CodeMicro has refurbished Nortel 1535's for $27.95 and they supposedly have 300 in stock. That's all I know. Who wants to do RECON? My guess is they'll get you with shipping costs.

I played with it and shipping for me is $9.30 for ground shipping. Much more for other options.

They accept PayPal and Google Checkout so maybe I'll give them a try. They seem to have a lot of Nortel surplus. Like this Breaker for only $650027.29 which is at the same 35% off as the 1535. Shipping for me is $11.29 ground to get it out to the West Texas sticks.

Sorry, looks like CodeMicro is a bust. I was finally getting around to ordering and now they only have one phone left for $364.65 but it's still 35% off. On the bright side, since you're paying more you're saving more.

Got two 1535's from OEM Solutions for $69 each plus $15.98 shipping. Ordered on 12 APR and received 25 APR. They seem new and are Turkish with H/W v1.0, S/W v0.2.93, and no Wi-Fi. Set them up per this thread without issue. Thanks all.

OK, Here's the full setup folks... It comes setup for Turkish...
I'm showing how to set up for SIP2SIP.Info so you can play video right away... Starting asterisk playing now.

The MENU button is the left soft button. GO BACK is the the right.

1. Scroll to AYARLAR meni (shows animated toolbox) Press TAMAAN (left top soft button) to select.
2. Choose "Telefon ayarlari "
3. Choose Dil secenekleri
4. Choose Ingilizce

Give it a few seconds and you'll be up in English...

Now, If you want to play video, and you don't have a pbx, sign up for a couple of sip addresses on SIP2SIP.info. It's free, and video calling works great. Now I'll tell you how to set up your phone for SIP2SIP.Info...

Prelim phone setup:

1. Choose Settings Icon
2. Scroll and select System Settings
3. Select Admin
4. Select Login
5. press 1234 and press OK soft button. You will be logged in.
6. Select Date and Time and set your date and time
7. Set your Date and Time Format
8. Go to Network Time and set the values you want
9. Go back to System Settings, then select VOIP settings.
10. Select User Information
11. Select Username/Number
12. Enter your SIP2SIP user name. this is 22XXXX a very long number before the @sign. In asterisk, this is your extension number. (Numeric input only)
13. Select Display Name
14 Enter your display name. This is alphanumeric. It uses multi-touch for text entry.
14. Select Authentication Name.
15 Enter Authentication Name. For SIP2SP and asterisk, again this is your user name before the @, or your extension.
THIS FIELD IS ALPHANUMERIC.
16. Select Authentication Password.
17. Enter Authentication Password. For some reason, this is a numeric field only !! So, make your SIP2SIP password numeric.
18. Press the BACK button and select Proxy
19. Select Proxy Address
20. This is a numeric only field. for SIP2SIP.info, the proxy address for proxy.sipthor.net is 81.23.228.129. For asterisk, enter the IP of you asterisk server.
21. Select MISC.
22. Select Domain Name
23. Enter sipsip.info for an account there, or the IP/DNS of your asterisk server.
24. Select BACK
25. Select STUN
26. Select Enable
27. Select STUN Server
28. Enter the IP of your favorite stun server. If you dont know one, use 75.101.138.128 (stun.xten.net)
29. Select BACK
30. Select Registration
25. Select Registration.

If all is good, you'll see a registration successful message.

If on SIP2SIP or asterisk, just dial an extension or user id.

PM me if you want to try a call. Send me your URI or SIP2SIP user id.

Good luck!
Helo, I have this new phone, and can't make it work with my piaf or sip2sip.

Trying config with sip2sip I get error "408 request timeout". I saw comparing with nerdvittles post (http://nerdvittles.com/?p=703) that here you say username is a long 22xxxx number, but my settings in the new sip2sip account say my username is "keyjey21". May that be the problem? do I need any 22** username that I don't have? I changed password to numeric type also, just in case .... same error.

I'm going nuts ! maybe i spent 70€ for nothing? :(

Also, manuals, website and firmware upgrades are totally offline at nortel servers.

Can somebody help me please? anyone have had this problem? Should I upgrade firmware?

Does anyone know if there are still any Wifi models to be had? The ones from the big ebay seller seem to be the non-Wifi models.

Thanks.

Hello,

Got a few working with the help of this thread. Callcentric.com does not give out a numeric IP for proxy server. They want me to put in callcentric.com. But this unit allows only ip addr.

I have telnet access. How can I change this? Any ideas? Thanks.

Unit has very lousy power jack connector on the unit. If the phone is move 1mm the power will be lost due to badly manufacture tip for power connector and the jack on the phone. Anyone got a workaround for this?

It was mentioned earlier in this thread. Wrap part of the power cord around the stand and then out to the adapter brick. That's what I do. Don't have a pic right now though.

Power Adapter for IP 1535,

To resolve lose power wire issue.
try the d-link router's power adapter that is 5V and 3A It should work and wire will not be lose.:rolleyes5:

Try at your own risk I have not tried it yet, but did some number crunching based on specification It should work.
Cheers.
